Annual Compliance Recertification Training for Medication Assistance

Overview:
This online course is exclusively designed for individuals who have already completed the initial 6‑hour training and require an annual update for compliance. Please note that this course is solely for recertification purposes and is not equivalent to the full 40‑hour “Qualified Medication Aide” training. It does not offer or imply employment, nor does it confer a degree, diploma, or any job qualifications.

Description:
This recertification training course provides the 2‑hour state-mandated annual update for individuals assisting with medications in Assisted Living Facilities (ALFs) in Florida. It refreshes your knowledge on essential topics to ensure continued compliance with Florida’s regulatory standards.

Course Highlights:

State-Compliant Curriculum:
- The content meets Florida's regulatory standards for safe medication assistance. It covers the essential topics required for maintaining best practices and compliance.
Two‑Hour Recertification Course:
- Complete this refresher training at your own pace within 30 days. This course is designed strictly for annual compliance and does not replace the full certification training.

- Policy: Access to Online Course Materials
  Access to online course materials is provided as follows:
  CNA and Phlebotomy Programs
  Students enrolled in Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and Phlebotomy programs will receive access to their online course materials on the first day of their in-person class, once all required enrollment documentation has been received.
  All Other Programs
  For the following programs, access to online materials will be granted within 48 business hours after all enrollment documents have been received:
- Remedial Courses
- Online-Only CNA
- EKG
- Medication Technician (Med Tech)
- Important Notes
- “Business hours” do not include weekends or holidays
- Requests submitted after 9:00 PM on Fridays will be processed the next business day
- Access will not be granted until all required enrollment paperwork has been completed and submitted

There is no Certification required by Florida other than attending the course. This is not a diploma or Degree program
Policy Statement:

Veritas Nursing Academy values its students and understands that unforeseen circumstances may arise, requiring a need to cancel or reschedule a class. This policy outlines the procedures and conditions for cancellations, rescheduling, and associated fees.

Cancellation Policy:

Cancellation Window: Students may cancel their enrollment in a class up to 72 hours prior to the scheduled start time of the class without losing their money. Online only classes are not eligable for refunds once an email has been sent to start.

Cancellation Fee: If a student cancels within the 72-hour window, a cancellation fee equal to 25% of the total cost of the course will be applied. This fee is non-negotiable and is intended to cover administrative and processing costs.

Rescheduling Policy:

Rescheduling Window: Students may request to reschedule a class once at no charge if the request is made no later than 24 hours prior to the scheduled start time of the class.

Rescheduling Procedure: To request a rescheduling, students must send an email and a text message to Veritas Nursing Academy at the following contact details:

The communication must include the student's full name, the class they wish to reschedule, and the desired new class date and time.

No Shows: Students who do not attend a scheduled class without prior notification or fail to provide the required 24-hour notice for rescheduling will not be eligible for a refund or rescheduling. No-shows will forfeit their course fees.

Legal Compliance:

This policy is legally binding within the state of Florida and adheres to all applicable state laws and regulations governing educational institutions and cancellation policies.

This policy will be reviewed and updated as necessary to ensure it remains compliant with Florida state laws and best practices. Any changes to the policy will be communicated to students through our official communication channels.

By enrolling in Veritas Nursing Academy's courses, students acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agree to comply with this Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy.
